A: The products sold by CLC are manufactured at factories in the U.S.A., South America and Asia.

Q: How can I pay for purchases made at The CLC Online Store?
A: The CLC Online Store accepts the following major credit cards:

We also accept debit cards, checks, money orders and PayPal. 

Q: When will my credit card be billed?
A: Your credit card will only be billed after you confirm your order and it is ready to be shipped. A screen with your order details-size, color, quantity, billing address, shipping charges and applied discounts-will appear during the order process allowing you to make any necessary changes. After you are sure your order is correct, click the OK button.

Q: Do I have to pay sales tax on my order?
A: CLC is required by law to charge sales tax to orders shipped to New York State only. No sales tax applies to orders shipped to addresses in other states.

Q: How do I care for products purchased at the CLC Online Store?
A: To fully enjoy CLC products, make sure you read the item's care label and follow the instructions. Following are a few more tips for keeping your items looking their very best: 

Keep your leather items looking great with these easy care tips: 

Get your leather items cleaned at a professional leather cleaner, and only when necessary. 

Keep leather garments and goods out of direct sunlight and store them in unzipped garment bags, so the leather can breathe. 

Visit our leather care products page for leather cleaners such as protecting lotions and leather conditioners--these can enhance the life of your leather garments and leather gifts. 

Corporate Gifts

Q: Do you offer corporate gifts or employee gifts?
A: One of our specialties is corporate leather gifts! There is a one time setup fee of $150 to make the metallic die of your company logo. After that, the price quoted per piece INCLUDES the debossing!

Gifts

Q: Can I order gifts at the CLC Online Store?
A: If you wish to place a gift order, please make sure to fill in the separate Bill To and Ship To fields at the time of checking out. Then, we will send only a packing slip to the recipient and the invoice with the item prices, will be mailed separately to the Bill To person.

In the comments section, you can also specify a particular message to be included with your Gift Order and we will print it out on our fancy Linen Paper. For additional assistance with gift orders, call our customer service department toll-free 1-888-871-5468 and someone will assist you.

International Orders

Q: Does CLC accept orders from other countries outside the United States?
A: Please note that we do ship internationally and we have several satisfied clients all over the world, including Australia, Japan, France, the UK, Ireland, Canada, the Netherlands and Mexico.

We do prefer international payments via PayPal on our website, but can accept online orders via credit card as well.

As per company policy for all international orders, WE WILL NOT SHIP TO a different shipping address than the one where your international card is billed.

If you order online using an international credit card, we will have to verify the card's billing address with your bank, so please be prepared to wait for the completion of this process before your order ships out.

The shipping calculator on our site will calculate your shipping cost before you checkout, for your convenience.

Clients whose countries are listed in the drop down menu in the checkout area are allowed to order from our site. We cannot accept orders from people living in countries that are NOT listed in this drop down menu.

Monogramming

Q: How does the Monogramming Look on the leather?  
A: Each item that can be monogrammed will have the Monogram option hyper linked next to the Add to Shopping Cart Button. Please click on this hyper link and view an image of a sample monogrammed item. The letters are engraved (heat-pressed) into the leather to make a lasting impression.

Alternatively, you may choose to have personalization done using gold or silver foil. If you wish to have your item monogrammed with this foil, then please specify this option in the Comments section at the time of checkout.

For items that cannot be monogrammed, the Monogram hyper link does not appear next to the Add to Cart button.

Order Info

Q: How will I know my order is confirmed?
A: If you provided a valid e-mail address during the registration process, you will receive two e-mails shortly after you place your CLC Online order. The first e-mail will confirm your online order. The second will confirm your shipping arrangements and the total amount charged to your credit card. 

Q: Where does the CLC Online Store accept orders from? 
A: We are able to accept orders within the 48 continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada. 

Out-Of-Stock Items

Q: What happens if I place an online order and CLC does not have it in stock?
A: While we make every effort to maintain ample supply of our stock, occasionally we are out of certain items. Out-of-stock item(s) will be shown as back-ordered on your shipping confirmation e-mail.

Q: What is the Customer Information Policy of The CLC Online Store?
A: CLC compiles customer information in an effort to improve and enhance our customers' online shopping experience. We may use customer information for marketing and promotional purposes. At this time, we do NOT provide or sell online customer information to any outside companies or third parties. 

If at any time you wish to remove Your Profile information, please feel free to e-mail us at customerservice@clcleather.com and type "Remove Profile Information" in the Subject line of your e-mail. 

Q: What is the Information Security Policy of The CLC Online Store?
A: Providing a safe and secure environment for your order information is our top priority. Taking advantage of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, CLC ensures the security of your online transaction. The CLC Online Store uses 128-Bit Encrypted SSL technology - the industry standard for encryption technology to create a secure transaction environment for commerce on the Internet. SSL technology encrypts files allowing only CLC to decode your information. Firefox (www.Mozilla.org), Netscape and Internet Explorer indicate when you are connected to a secure server. Firefox & Explorer use an unbroken lock, while Netscape shows a closed lock to indicate that your session is secure. 

Returns & Exchanges

Q: How do I return or exchange merchandise ordered from The CLC Online Store?
A: At clcleather.com our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase and wish to return or exchange them, please fill out the Return/Exchange Form enclosed with your original shipment and return the item WITHIN 30 DAYS of your purchase in it's original box (if possible). When exchanging items, please indicate the item with which you would like to replace it--please include the model number, color, size, etc.

Returned packages must be shipped pre-paid. We cannot accept C.O.D. deliveries. Refunds will be processed when the item(s) are received. CLC will pay the shipping charges for orders being processed as exchanges. 

Returns will be accepted on non-customized merchandise only and must be accompanied by a packing list or invoice. NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON ANY MERCHANDISE WITH INITIALS, COMPANY LOGOS, OR ANY OTHER FORM OF PERSONALIZATION.

Refunds will be given for the price indicated on your receipt. If you do not have a receipt, the current or most recent sale price will apply. Gift returns will be refunded via check to the gift recipient. Credits on returned or exchanged merchandise will be refunded to the original credit card only. Please allow 1 to 2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement. Please allow 10 business days from the day you return your package for your exchange to be processed.

Shipping

Q: What shipping method(s) can I choose from when I place my order?
A: You can choose to have your order shipped via Overnight, UPS 2nd Day Air, Ground (via FedEx or UPS Ground), or USPS Priority Mail (with delivery confirmation)

SPECIAL FREE shipping offer valid through January 31, 2010 on orders over $125.00 shipped in the continental United States (48 Contiguous States). Offer applies to Standard Ground shipping orders only. The $125.00+ applies to merchandise only. Gift certificates, taxes, additional shipping and handling (like 2nd Day or Next Day Air Options) do not count toward the qualifying amount. Not valid for cash. Previous purchases are not eligible for adjustments.


Q: How long after I place my order will it be shipped?
A: Orders for non-personalized items placed Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST, February through October, are shipped within 2-3 business days. All orders placed on our website in January, November and December are shipped within 3-5 business days, unless expedited shipping is requested.  

Q: I would like to have my order shipped to different addresses. How should I go about this?
A: If you would like to send a shipment to more than one address, you will have to place separate online orders for each destination, or place your order by phone at 1-888-871-5468. 

Q: How can I track my order once it is shipped?
A: You will be provided with an order tracking number from FedEx, UPS, or USPS. Using this number, you can track the status of your shipment. Please note that it may take 24 hours after you place your order before your tracking information appears on the Website.
